Classic's:
Turn-based RPG's
EX: Final Fantasy 1-9(maybe 10), Legend of Dragoon, Wild Arms, Grandia, Suikoden, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross.
Mid-Aged:
Where action Battle Systems started to take place.
EX: Starocean series, Radiata Stories, FF12
Modern Age:
Where full action is now taking place
EX: Dragon Age, Fallout, Skyrim, Oblivion, FF13
-----
I dont really care for modern games much at all.
Dragon Age was not very good, i didnt care to much for fallout, skyrim was alright but oblivion was a little better, and FF13 just completely sucked imo. FF13 was way to fast pased for my likings and im a HUGE FF fan that played them all.
I like some of the mid aged games. My fav mid aged game of all time would have to be Radiata Stories and Starocean 2.
My fav of all time would have to be the classics. I love Turn-Based RPG's more than anything.
My fav games of the classics would have to be. FF6-9, Chrono Trigger, and Legend of Dragoon.
I love RPG games that i can take my time on during battle.
So whats your favorite RPG Age?

There was a few good games that we're semi-action/semi-turnbased not long ago that was pretty fun, a good example of this I guess would be Eternal Sonata. I like the way games like this mix, giving a set ammount of time to attack before switching to the next character, when done right it makes every battle different like an Action RPG while still making it turnbased. I had to mention Eternal Sonata because it did do this right, if you've never played it before then you should or atleast watch videos of the battle system.
Don't get me wrong I do enjoy many ARPG's today, but theres something about turnbased that makes things more strategic. The only time I think the modern style with an active battle system only really works in MMO's.
I guess we have yet to see a modern ARPG be done right so there is still hope for it, until then it's Mid-age and Classic styles for me.

Uh, what do you mean maybe. FFX is a CTB(Conditional Turn-base Battlesystem) system not a ATB system , doesn't mean it's not turn-base like the others. It's pratically similar to FF 1-3.

- Dragon Age was made for the PC which is why if you played it on console, the battle system was a piece of shit. Which is why i like Dragon Age 2 better, though the story for the first was actually better.
- Agreed on FF13 was a piece of shit.
You also forgot
Tactical-Base RPG's
Ex: The Last Remnant (this was an interesting game that SE made), FFT, FFTA, FFTA2

That's kind of dumb not to play a game because a friends disc did not work; especially if he bought it used or did not take care of it.
