I am pretty new here right now.... and I'm trying to get good at using RPG Maker VX. Right now I am using the trial version and will get the full version when the trial period is over.
Any help for a newb is appriciated.

Hey TheBlackBix. Welcome to RMXPU.
You came to the right place for help. If you need help with anything(even not rpg maker related) at all just ask.

You may want to check out RPG Maker XP, as well as look into RPG Maker VX Ace, and decide which you like best before you commit any money. Some people prefer XP to VX, and Ace is rather new, and I have heard nothing but good things so far.
I have yet to look into Ace, but if in my opinion it is better then XP I will get a copy of VX Ace.

Welcome to RMXP Unlimited.
If you're used to VX you probably should stick to that.

Welcome.
i'd say that VX is essentially easier to use, while XP allows for more customization. For a scripter like me, VX is just a pain in the ass. Plus; I find its graphics ugly, but that's just my taste.
