The music. The feeling. The action.
It's almost like a real account of something that has or might happen.

'Manga" are books. "Anime" are animated features, or tv episodes. Or, if you were around in the eighties, it would be "Japanimation."
And my favorite anime movie is a tie between the Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz and Escaflowne: Girl in Gaea.

.hack//sign is my all time favorite.
It has less action than some others I have seen, but the overall mood of the characters is something I've never seen before.
I like the entire concept of being in a game and never able to log out, causing tons of pressure to be placed on Tsukasa's shoulders.
^.^

Anyways, have you seen the Rebirth of Fusion movie?
That is the movie with Janemba. Goku even goes super saiyan 3 in that movie. That sequence is pretty amazing to watch.

Thanks, but if I want to watch Journey to the East, I'd just put in a DvD of Saiyuki.
I never got into DBZ, but I have watched it.
It's Sailor Moon for little boys.

I used to love watching Dragon Ball Z, although that was atleast a couple of years ago. Kept me entertained. I dont watch any Manga or Anime shows though, I dont even think they are played here. Cant miss what you havent seen.

I have watched it, thus I have an opinion on it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be more non-sensical to despise something you've never experienced? I dislike it, yes. Hate it, even, because due to that one show most people state-side think every single anime in the world is exactly like that.
I meant what I said. I've seen it. Never liked it.
But, I'm off topic. This is supposed to be about your favorite anime, not your least.

Then your previous post doesn't make sense, invisible punches are just like so called "RPG magic"
well you don't like it I LOVE IT, but from your storys I can see you prefer realistic stuff, so do I, in fact in my project I'm not willing to do any super natural powers, but the most thing I like in DBZ and GT is not only fights, didn't you see the story?the plot line, IT'S GREAT(sorry for goin off topic if I did so)

If you want a deep, involved plotline, watch Outlaw Star, or Shuffle!, or ::shivers:: Inuyasha.
If you have broadband, I can show you where to Torrent them.

Eureka seveN
Tokyo Mew Mew
s-CRY-ed
Fullmetal Alchemist
After that...animes just...don't appeal much to me...only certain things attract my attention, and those 4 animes have those certain things. (And for anyone who says "Sailor Moon and Tokyo Mew Mew are almost the same show" I don't believe that...I've heard it said, but I don't believe it...maybe I would if I didn't see the crappy 4kids production...but I HATE sailor moon with a passion)

Ummm...Dragon Ball Z and GT are awesome for their imaginative ability, just like how in Samurai X - It's not like a person can move that fast and stay in the air for five minutes in one single jump! Most TV shows are escapes from reality which brings out the human imaginative feature. I do get your point though - it is repetative - but i still like it.

Anime = Animation
But that was already cleared up, anyway, I haven't really developed a favorite show, though with anime I love the type of art style that is used, making a lot of my drawings a bit wapanese-ish. Some shows like Last Exile, Full Metal Alchemist, and nearly any video game-based anime draw my attention.

Of course, I love Akira too, and Ghost in the Shell. There are more I like, but I can't be bothered to list all the titles...
However. The hands-down best anime film I have ever seen is Grave of the Fireflies. It's an epic World War 2 drama set in Japan and it's about these two kids who lose everything and have to take care of themselves. And the older brother has to take care of the little sister who doesn't really grasp the full intensity of the situation they are in.
It is one of the most moving animes ever, and if you haven't seen it yet, go. GO NOW, and watch it.
