Reader,
I just bought a Gamecube (working condition) on eBay for $5.50 + $15.00 S&H. Plus it comes with 3 games: Metroid Prime, Custom Robo, and RoboTech Battle Cry.
Why buy a Gamecube when a Wii can play the games? Well i decided to start collecting video games and old school consoles.
v/Respectfully,
Noob Saibot

Interesting. Any idea what color it is? What games are you planning to get with it? Just a word of caution for you, I DO NOT recommend you get Batman Vengence. It's a horrible game, the camera is too sensitive, and if you are not careful with what you do, you could spend more time getting killed than actually progressing through the game. It's your choice how you want to proceed, but I recommend against batman vengence.

oh boy i miss custom robo
I highly advise looking into getting baten kaitos/baten kaitos: origins, great titles for the gamecube. They are card based RPGs (really well done card system too, IMO) with great characters, story and music. TERRIBLE VOICE ACTING however (as a forewarning, it's really bad lol)

Well I only plan on buying consoles I have played, but will try any game though.
EDIT: Also it is the original purplish color.

By old school I meant NES, SNES, and though not that old N64. Plus technically old school is correct because older systems like the NES ans SNES are more referred to as Retro Games/Consoles.

I think they become "old school" when they stop manufacturing them. Technically the original xbox is old school, and recently the GBA was declared a "relic" earlier this year.
Anyhoo...
I recommend you pick up the Zelda Collector's Edition, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess (TP much better on GC than the Wii), Eternal Darkness, TimeSplitters 2 and Beyond Good and Evil....and you know, for laughs...Killer 7.

Plus what if you started playing video games on the Playstation or Gamecube (never touching the older consoles). Those people may consider them to be old school. I think its more based off when you started and what you started with.

True, that and these days you got these kids whose first consoles were the Xbox 360, Ps3 and/or Wii and probably haven't heard of any of the older ones, consoles or games. Hell, I know someone who plays Skyrim but never knew there were any older Elder Scrolls games.
