Okay, so I watched one of my favorite movies today (the same as in the title of the thread) and thought to myself 'This could make a wonderful game, if done right!'
Then I realized, I can't do it all on my own. There are some things that would take me longer than others to do, and need some creative consulting on how to do some of the more interesting, faster paced scenes; such as dueling and horseback riding.
If anyone is interested in assisting in such a project, let me know! If possible, please, watch the movie for a great reference. It stars Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, and Alan Rickman, among others.
If i can get a couple others enthused, and work creatively on getting a solid story and systems set up, I will be hiring for Eventers, Mappers, even other Scripters.
So... leave a post if interested or have any questions, k thanx bai!

Sounds like it could be interesting. I've never watched the movie but could check it out. I'd be willing to help as always.

I like this idea, and want to join but I don't know if my skills would be up to what you expect. So give me an idea for a map and i'll see what I can pull out, also if you need some writing I think I could also help with that. That's it, give me some ideas to get my brain cells working and I'll see what I can do.

@serge: have u seen the movie?
@noob: all right. Lemme know what u think.
In general, I know games from movies suck, but I figure we stick pretty close to the story and dialogue, and fill in the time span gaps with little gameplay fillers, and we may just pull it off. Right now, I just need a creative thinktank for some of the features and story

Yup, seen it several times. I like it. Love the wickedness of the witch (Idea: blood magic), and MORGAN FREEMAN!! as the "painted man".
Question: Are you planning on making the game following the movie, or just use the setting and plots within it?
