Several months ago, I mentioned a new project I was starting labeled Knight Academy. I had some great ideas for it, but I've been stuck for months and unable to figure out what to do with the story. But recently, I've got some new inspiration to get the story going. Instead of igniting the old thread, I'm starting anew, with a slightly different story, but new features I didn't think of, or didn't know I could do before.

Story:

Richie is a young vibrant archer, who has lived in Corbor all his life. He knows he wants to one day become a regonized warrior but doesn't know how. One evening, he is told the King and Queen are calling out a recruitment list for warriors and other members who are seeking to become regonized warriors. Those chosen, and who can pass the full academy training will be knighted by the King and Queen and will be awarded the right to guard any town in Corbor.

Richie gets excited about this prospect, here he has an opportunity to become a warrior and he'll take on the challenge. He quickly enters, only to find out about 200 other soldiers already signed up, and only 16 will be chosen to begin training. Richie is discouraged, but signs up anyway. Overnight, and over the next 20 days, he waits and wonders, does he have the skills nessesary to be chosen to train under the king and queen?

On the 21st day, a messenger arrives at Richie's house with a roll of parchment. He only states it's from his majesty. Richie opens it up and is shocked to find he's been chosen to train with the king and queen. All other canidates have been selected, so richie was a lucky last pick. Richie quickly packs up his bags, and starts off towards Exis Village, where the King and Queen's castle is, where he will soon learn training under the king and queen will be his greatest challenge ever.

Features:

Multiple side missions involving civilians, soldiers, and other towns.
Running a small shop, or doing tasks for others for money. (People have to make a living somehow)

--More Features will be added as I think of them, or if I think they will be essential to the story--

What I need help with: Right now, I still haven't gotten a logo for this game, since I don't have any skills in logo design, I would like to ask anyone who has experience in logo design to help me make a design for this game. I would greatly appreciate it.

I have completed a demo for this game. It's availible here: http://www.mediafire...mc8f3chk2f4hzqj
If you spot anything wrong with it, please let me know.

EDIT: Ok, if anyone is following this, I've just thought of a concept that I'm not sure how to implement. Part of the story involves the hero, Richie to pick between one or two players to stay or leave the kingdom, and the rest fight him to determine if they are worthy of continuing or not. If Richie wins, they leave, but if Richie loses, they stay.

To make this concept more interesting, I want to make it dynamic, meaning, not every decision will be carved in stone, some will involve the player, and some decisions will affect the course of the game. I'm having trouble figuring out to make this work, considering I can't do it with just switches, I'd probably use up too many spots. At the time of writing this, I haven't delved into how varibles work, so I'm going to see if I can find information on that, and that might be the answer to my problem. But I'm not sure.

If anyone has an idea on how this could work, please let me know, as I'm planning to make this a major part of the game.

Let me ask an honest question here, is my game so unappealing and so unattractive that no one will bother to either reply or for that matter even bother to download the demo I have had up for over a week? It seems from the lack of response and lack of interest compared to when I annouced this game the first time seems like no one is interested.

Don't take this like I'm mad or anything, but I'm surprised no one is interested in this game. Have I really made such a genericly boring game that no one's interested?

It's actually pretty common for it to be a struggle to get people to try demo's its a bad habit. I've downloaded it but have homework at this moment but I will get back to you in a day or so. As far as the screenshots the first, third, and last one looks like they need some more work on them. As of the story there is not really much to comment on, but what you do have seems ok.

Perhaps what I need to do is actually show everyone what I've done rather than try to explain the story. Maybe I'll get better response from a video. I will update this post tonight with a video of the demo so far.

Ok I just played you game a bit and not to be mean or anything but there needs to be some more work done. I'll list some potential things to help you out.
1. The maps are bad, except the one inside map I saw was ok which is the map you get to after the woods map. To fix this I suggest reading this http://www.rmxpunlim...-mapping-class/, here http://www.rmxpunlim...eating-the-map/ and here http://www.rmxpunlim...ncing-the-map/. I also suggest playing some other peoples games like Lizzie's game which you can find here http://www.rmxpunlim...s-of-eternity/. If that still don't help make some maps in a side project and post them here http://www.rmxpunlim...eenshot-thread/ for critic.
2. While this bothers me it is optional. The graphic shows a bow while I use a knife? Also I suggest looking at your battle animations they are off especially on the Tutorial 2 Guy.
3. The second chest in the sewers does not appear to work.
4. The text in the boxes appear off screen sometimes making it unreadable.
5. The text in the start fly's by to quick and I cant read it all. Also cant read the letter from the king and queen.
6. Enemies seemed to weak and popped up way to much.
I had to stop after a little over 8 mins in because it seemed to be to quick and with the mistakes I mentioned made it hard to play. I don't know how long you spent making it and not to be mean but it doesn't seem like you spent much time. To help with general game making look here http://www.rmxpunlim...tbuild-a-game/. I wish you luck in the future with your project Posted Image
