I can't seem to get it to generate a card after filling out the information. No errors; it just doesn't do anything after clicking GENERATE (FireFox 5.0).

Since I upgraded to firefox I cant even see a card when the page loads. Oh and by the way (assuming we're seeing the same thing) you're supposed to see your card every time you update your details. for example, once you type in the title and then click somewhere other than that input element, the card preview updates.

Well that didn't happen either (the update). I even tried it in IE9 and it did not work.

I think we can call it broken. I'm way too busy with study to take a look at it to be honest. I may give it a look if I get some free time later on.

I really find these issues with the Project Cards odd...For me, sometimes it works then sometimes it doesn't. Doesn't seem to matter which browser I use; sometimes it works perfect, sometimes it doesn't work at all, sometimes I get really strange errors (well, I tried once to see what would happen, instead of the app returning the default card appearance, which is what I tried to generate, I got linked to a random already made card LOL)

I guess it is broken...but sometimes it isn't? (for me anyways)

WELL apparently I am a huge liar, and cannot get it to work with anything EXCEPT Google Chrome.

Google Chrome just earned more bonus points with me, it somehow makes broken apps work!

(I SWEAR i had it working the other day in IE and FireFox though :/ but like i said it seems at times it works at other times it doesn't so who knows)

So for anyone who REALLY REALLY needs this app, I just suggest downloading Google Chrome and using it to generate your project cards. (ps. I am not saying switch browser's completely; just get it for this)

I wish I could, but I just don't have time at the moment. It used to worked in older versions of firefox. Perhaps if you try different browers then you may get lucky in one of them

I remember reading this a few months ago and at the time it did in fact work in google chrome. I now however can not get it to work in any browser.

Ok, you guys have convinced me to work on this. But my knowledge of PHP and javascript have probably increased too much to merely get it working, I may have to do a complete rewrite. We'll see. I'll try to get it done sometime this week, but I'm pretty busy with work.

If you don't use firefox (because its too much of a hassle to downgrade) then you could find version 4.0.1, coz its working for me.

Signed up just to see what was going on with the project cards. Awesome to know you're going to try and re-write it. For now, I'm going to download Mozilla 4.0.1 - Thanks Admin! =D

EDIT:
Doesn't work 100%. Will update the preview as you go along, but when you click generate you will get the default. A workaround? Right-click the picture before you generate, copy image url, open in new tab, and save. Repeat when updating. =D

I was listening to radio show (online), and one of the guests mentioned something that speaks true to this:
"Code rots. If code is left unmaintained/unattended; over time it will stop working"
It's probably not your fault, just updates in libraries/web browsers etc. Hard to keep up with (though I know you know this, all too well lol, web development is the hardest to stay on top of, than any other form of development IMO)

I don't think it has been fixed yet, unfortunately.

One of the main reasons I am reluctant to attempt to fix it is that its written using Joomla's framework, and we will be leaving Joomla soon. That and the fact that it needs to be rewritten entirely because (spoiler alert here) the code is poor. I write things like this to practice.

So I will remove the links to it until a new version is up.
