Hello all~
I am new to the forums here. I have had a project that I have worked on off and on for years and essentially I am looking for people who would be interested in working together to finish it.

Sadly right now I do not have much to show since my file was corrupted and I lost essentially everything (this was probably 2-3 years ago). After that I rage quitted on rpg maker, but I am interested in restarting!

Here is essentially the background of the story.

Game name: A New Beginning

Story: You are a orphan boy living in a semi-modern city, which I have named Lorie. You live with several other orphan children, but you happen to be the oldest.

The game begins with you and a couple of the other orphans breaking into a rich man's home within the town. Which house you choose is entirely up to you, and the story will progress slightly differently depending on which you do choose.
You will encounter some form of resistance in each home and will earn the basics of combat here. The money/food you steal will be sufficient for a few days.

Warp 5 days later.

You try to break into the largest house and fail. Several of your friends are injured and you decide that it is no longer safe for you to do this.
You hear about an underground fighting club which happens to pay greatly for competition. All weapons used here are melee type weapons and fights go until surrender.
You sign up. You are given a selection of weapons to choose from for the fight. Which weapon types you choose will determine your class for the rest of the game.
You end up winning.
This continues for several weeks and you begin to draw a crowd among the underground community. You notice you are being followed home for several nights. Eventually a man approaches you and offers you a deal. Come with him and he will provide you riches and luxury beyond desire. Of course you accept.

You find yourself in a government run facility deep underground. Its a special forces type training ground who assassinate criminals who the police are unable to get their hands on. However, the police do not know you exist and neither does anyone in the public.

This is where the game branches out drastically. You can choose which missions you undertake. You will earn money for completing missions. You can use this money to expand your facilities in ways such as new vehicles in order to accept jobs from further away towns, biological enhancements to power you up, new training grounds to level in between missions, etc etc. You will also be able to train several teammates in your own liking.
Each mission will be somewhat short. Roughly between 20-30 minutes and there will be hidden spoils in each mission. Some spoils will require you to have certain enhancements to find.
The rest of the story I will leave hidden for now. :D

What I am looking for: Due to the massive amount of missions I wish to create, I need at least;
-2-3 people working on map design.
-At least one person for working on the combat system and the upgrade systems within the base.
-At least one person who can create original art and battle art.
-Someone who is interested in creating music.

If you have any interest in the project, feel free to message me here. You can also contact me via yim/email @ mkennedy1499@yahoo.com, aim/skype at exiondaknight, or irc at exion @ quakenet.

I strongly suggest that you make your maps. Through experience I have found this to be a great to for self-improvement.

In general it's a better idea to start working on your game yourself, and try to recruite people s the project progresses.

Yes this way people have stuff that they could reference to your work. Also I know I would never join someone who is first starting their project, I would want them to do a little bit because it shows how motivated they are. You would not believe how many people I have decided to help, and then they just go quite and I never hear from them again. It's annoying because I put time to help them and then they just disappear. I would suggest creating a demo, have people play test it, then make changes, and then after your demo is completed and people have played it then make a recruitment topic.
