Hey guys,

You may notice that when you goto the board index you get an error. It only says its an error down the bottom, but the banner disappears and the text goes blue, etc.

We actually had this error once before and it is discussed in this topic: http://www.rmxpunlim...c/5297-upgrade/

Just to let you all know that I am working on fixing it. I did forget how exactly I fixed it last time so it won't be fixed immediately.

Secondly there are range of theme issues across the board and this theme has become obsolete it terms of the software (as the software is upgraded, the skins HTML sometimes needs upgraded accordingly).

But I have decided that I want a new look, and this time I think we're going for a fixed layout. That means that the forums and sites width are only a certain length (probably around 960px). So if you have a massive resolution you would see the site in the middle of the page, but its far more efficient. If it were fluid (stretched across your whole page) then you would lose your line when you read posts and things because your eyes have to jump so far back.

However a new theme will take some time because its a huge investment. It takes so much time and is so tedious to come up with. I have to skin the forums and site to look identical.

If you guys would like to discuss design aspects for the site, please feel free to do so here :) I do have one design that I made a while back that I showed the staff, I may post it here to see if you guys like it.

Fixed Errors

I don't know if this is related, but virtually none of the gallery images are viewable, and when I tried posting a new album, nothing showed up :(

What do you mean? Another member to help fix the errors? I'm flat out with uni work but the weekends coming up and hopefully I'll get some things fixed. I was working on a major cleanup that would fix it but I've changed my mind because it will probably take a whole day, which I dont have.

Yea, but even that doesn't show my new album, and half the base albums say that there's 0 images...include the RPG Maker XP Resources Posted Image

If you would like Marked I have many themes installed on my website...You can browse which ones look best.

Also these look like cache errors...Try re-importing the application hooks and check modding the correct files. Also you might want to run a clean up for old skin images that are trying to display on your banner. :/

EDIT: Make sure you check your config aswell for allowed URL's. There might be incompatible characters in the url. IE someone chaned the root directory *ahem* Host.

Ah yes, those categories technically do not have any images in them, just images, so I don't think that is an error. If you go into the category you can see all of the albums with images. I just rebuilt all the images, when you clicked into them, they wouldn't show up.

This is a tiny bit embarrassing but, where do you add a new album? I'm not used to this new system yet... :sweatdrop: There is a limit of 4 albums for members but I see that you have only made 3.

That sounds good, what is the URL of your site? I'm glad someone brought up a new theme in this topic :)

I think that I've pretty much fixed all the errors that I've been seeing. The database error logs have returned to normal (there are always a few random mysql errors each day). I take that some images arn't showing up for you? Are you using opera? The banner shows up but in opera (i think it was opera that i saw this) the flash animation doesn't come up, you have to manually play it. Which is lame.

URL is in the signature, forum is on the left.

Opera has very strict CSS standards don't worry about that :). This is the warning I am getting...

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /mounted-storage/home90a/sub009/sc47804-NPGF/rmxpunlimited.net/components/com_news/views/default/view.html.php on line 71

Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Empty regular expression in /mounted-storage/home90a/sub009/sc47804-NPGF/rmxpunlimited.net/components/com_news/views/default/view.html.php on line 167

Sadly I know how to fix this I just don't remember... encountered it on one of my forums right after IPB update.

Awesome, I'll check it out.

As for that error, I can probably fix it. It is odd that you have had that error, because its a joomla news component that simply uses IPB's tables, but I wrote it myself.

I havent opened up the files but looks really obvious. The preg replace error comes because it has no data to work with. The foreach error is the same, I suspect a change in the tables column name because it seems to not be returning any data from the query.

I think I'll do that now since I got a few moments to kill. I need to study... :(

EDIT: I was half right. I tried rewriting IPBs bbcode system, and they removed a column in that particular table which caused the bbcode parsing function to screw up the main body of text. Works now :)

They don't even show up when you go inside the category...

Go into the image gallery, and on the right side, on the same line as the "Gallery" text, there's two buttons, "Browse" and "Upload". It's the upload button.

Oh, and one more thing. I see what ShinnyGuns is saying. You can't see resources in the gallery. You can see where to click on the pictures and links. However, the resource does not appear on the download page.

Ah, I see. Its odd because I can't see the button as an admin but can as a member, I guess the permissions got messed up. I guess I should apologize, because I don't have time right now to go there... maybe isaacsol will help, he as ACP access too. I've had a week to forget.. :pinch:
