Well the demo it comes with pretty much looks like the old Halo games on X Box. So graphically, Torque to RMXP is like the X Box to the SNES. Huge jump in visual quality. As far as the learning curve goes, Torque doesn't seem like it will be too bad to get off the ground with since they have a sort of point click interface for simple games. But I can tell if you wanna get the good, more complex stuff going, you're gonna need to know some scripting. I think it's definitely worth giving a whirl.

Excellent. You pretty much just reconfirmed what I was expecting. It'll be probably not until late this year I swap over, but you never know. That's good to hear though, I am excited to try the 3D and 2D version of torque out for sure. Do you think you will end up using it for future installments of Grave Prosperity?

Yup, I was actually considering redoing everything I have now and making it the way I originally envisioned it with the Torque3D. Grave Prosperity was never meant to be a 2D game, plus using RMXP makes it really hard to do a combat system like mine with huge sprites while maintaining a good collision distance with the sprites. Everything is treated as a 32X32 square no matter what size the graphic is. The 2D, Collision issue and the whole RGSS crashing thing are the main reasons I want to convert to a new software. I've been playing with the Torque3D engine since last night and it definately looks doable, I'm just gonna have to drop some money for a more compatible 3D modeling program since Carrara's collada and fbx exporters are horrible. If I can do that and transfer all my models to the new program then I can get this ball rolling.

That is super great to hear. I can imagine how awesome that game would be in full real 3D. I have been itching to play a horror puzzle game with a more classic feel like the original Resident Evils for a while now. There is definitely a market for a game like yours with a solid story, and mystery novel elements.
As far as 3D rendering, have you looked into Blender at all? It is from what I hear an excellent program to render in 3D with, but as I said I do not know much, but when I did look into it, that was the program I had decided to start trying it with, but I have yet to attempt polygons. Here is the link in case you are not familiar, and for others as well.

In any case, a new version release with the same story of Grave Prosperity would rock. I look forward to it.

Awesome, I actually had just downloaded it after my last post. From what I've read about it it seems to support daz/ poser models, and if that's the case then I can get going a bit earlier than expected since blender is open source. I'll post what I find while using it.
