I've been drawing manga recently and then thought of RMXPU, which gave me an idea...A bunch of active people got together from this forum and made our own exclusive RMXPU manga..I'm not really sure how this would work our or what to say..But..Who thinks it's a good idea?

- draw manga version of a member (from real life photo)
- If they don't want to show a real photo, they can simply choose a made up character (i don't know if you'd draw their char or if they'd select one from the internet)
- and obviously a story line, that would be up to you and the members here at rmxpu maybe.
A quick on the spot idea is: you could do some sort of dream manipualtion program at science places, were the dreams of one person communicates with another person (so they both have same dreams and can communicate). This way, you could incorporate a members rpg game (if it's in dev, the better, as the dream can end shortly). OR a weekly/ monthly competition winner will have their game in the manga, instead of everyones game in the manga.

Sounds interesting, and I prefer manga to comics. Comics are too childish and, no offence, in my opinion crude :/

O.O I've been looking for a program like that ever since I picked up a "How to make a comic" book. I know what I'm getting for my birthday. I just hope it's not expensive. Just found out it's $50. YAYs!

Actually, manga is just the art style which originated in Japan. It doesn't have to be made in Japan to be called manga.

AlSO adding 's' to the end of a word doesn't make it plural in Japanese. Just say manga. Sorry I just couldn't help it. >.<

Rough Ideas
- A war in minds. Discover, leak out or use info against the government (like hacking but through information that is held in the minds of workers)
- A new disease breaks out, scientists cant figure it out, all it does is kill. slow moving but deadly. Enemy forces use it against their enemies. The disease/ virus turns out to be be alien (u can then lead onto a broader story)

Hmmmm....Those are very interesting ideas.

Manga is my favorite thing besides rpg maker and anime! I have alot of school currently but I'd love to help anyway if its possible.I soo want manga studios since I don't know how far back,
I'm gonna ask my mom if I can use her credit card and get it, saying its part of a drawing course and a career decision should sound serious enough... I'm soo exited already...

Some regulars from this site were discussing a new RMXPU mascot a few weeks ago. I had suggested maybe making an RPG with the mascot to better help advertise the site.
When I saw this manga idea, the same thought occurred to me, why not use the mascot for your manga?
I believe the mascot has not been finished yet, but there are some great conceptual ideas already in that thread.
My idea for the story would be to have the mascot be the main character, and have the story based around rpg making.
Its cliche, but maybe something along the lines of he gets brought into a digital world that represents the game making world.
He would be able to travel to the different game making sites(in the manga) and have different interactions with the different scripts and events etc.
I don't know if anyone has ever seen the animated series Reboot, but same kinda idea.
Just my opinion of course, but I think mixing the RMXPU mascot idea with the manga idea might create a great end product to help represent and advertise the site.

1: Technically, Manga and comics fall under the catagory of "Graphic Novel"
2: as for ideas....
2a: Underground Lair of forgotten and lost monsters.... a Yuki-Onna manages to find her way into the real world and simply wants to return home, then she meets one of the RMXPU members and... things happen (someone else decides what )
