I'm just wondering if/how I can re-size a VX sprite to make it into an XP sprite? I've looked all over the net for help but I just can't find any solution on what to do :3

Yes, you can. If you'd like to know how, look in spoiler.

So, whatcha gotta do is open a art program. GIMP is best and very easy to use. Plus, it's a lot better than Photoshop. Just believe me. But if you don't have that, use another art program. Now, you will need to copy the first row and place it again to mimic the same style XP uses.

That's ok, this is isn't your "normal" script. So let's begin with turning VX Sprite Sheets into XP-style Sprite sheets.
For XP Sprites, Row 1 and Row 3 are the Sprites that are standing still and not moving.....

Like the Sprites in the middle of a VX Sprite Sheet.....

You just copy the middle row of the VX Sprite Sheet (or Row 3 in the XP Sprite picture I have), and paste it on the far left and it'll look like an XP Sprite Sheet, but with a VX style (since it is a VX Character Sprite Sheet, it should have a VX style :P ) So it should look like this after you add in that middle row.....

We might have to give them a background color to make transparent, I went with pruple since the Sprite doesn't have any pruple on her.
Then you just Import the newly customized VX Sprite Sheet into XP and there we go. To give them the Sprite you want to see in battle, you go to the Actors tab in Database, go to Character Graphic, and give them the Character Sprite you want them to use, it's simple as that. Now enemies are a bit different for setting them up for battle, you will have to do some scripting. But let's deal with one thing at a time, ok? Any questions so far?

Ooh that does help a little, I would've never thought to have done that.
But I meant changing the actual VX graphic from like stubby and chibi to sort of tallish like the XP graphic.

Why would you want to convert the RMVX characters to RMXP? Just get some different characters.

There is no real way to do it other than just re-spriting them. RMVX came after RMXP, so naturally there wouldn't be any point in making them backwards compatible. They stopped caring about RMXP users.

Is there a specific character set you want or something or do you just want more characters?

Oki de. I just prefer XP look, I'm just picky like that. Last night I actually fiddled with something basic, I'd still have to draw a few things here and there. I'm just a lazy person looking for the easiest way to do something, so I was hoping there was a magical program to get what I wanted. Since I don't really wanna spend too much time fixing up sprites and stuff because I'm busy working on other art projects. ^^
But, thank you guys!
