Dont forget about VXP which I plan to be builting over the next 1.5 years, I already have a good portion of the interfacing for it done already, but its still a ton of work to build. However its going to be a RMXPU Exclusive- and possably backdoor only on first release-
But other than that you might want to see about making some more exclusives within the site.
Exclusive? We would be very greatful, and goodluck with this engine. I hope you keep us updated. If you do indeed make it RMXPUnlimited exclusive, I will certainly make it well known here.

Why only XP? Many people are also interested in VX, but some is still used in 2000 and 2003 RPG Maker. I need to constantly support them. And for this exist Tutorials and teachers to work with RPGM.
Well I have decided only to Support RMXP and above as our main engines. I don't think we could really attracted a decent amount of 2k and 2k3 users.

One thing to keep in mind is that we don't want to support too much. If we support too many programs, we'll have a lot of blank forums, and as such, we'll look very inactive. That was a problem we had before when we were supporting RMXP/VX, Action Game Maker, Adventure Game Studio, and Game Maker all at once. People still join for RMXP/VX and none of the others (cause we had nothing for them) and we might have lost some members due to the look of inactivity. So, let's try to keep that in mind -nods-

@Marked: Well, I do want to learn scripting for myself. I want to complete a working version of my Export-Import System. My current version works, but I want it to be able to read and save via a name and not a number (like at current it exports the files as E1.export, I'd like it to export with "william.export" and have the ability to have it read any ".export" file, no matter the filename, but my scripting ability hasn't reached that yet). Also, I'd like to be able to make my own CMS for Crystals of Chaos, cause I don't like the default and I can't find a CMS that is compatible with any of the scripts I'm using right now lol
Yes I agree about looking inactive with too many supported engines with their own forums. As for your scripting, well I hope you can continue to develop your skills. You seem to be looking for sort of mentor, correct? Other than that, I have sound some nice resources which may be of some assistance.

I think there should be a new design for the main page. It does not really have a design. It would be nice to have more updates. Tell people about new members, projects, contests, member of the month, etc on the main page for more frequent updates.
I agree, I have been looking for a new design or base design which i will work from. The main reason i haven't done this yet is that the javascript is broken and I've been on support forums and trying to fix this. There is one issue with updates, projects and other such relevant content as you mentioned. There is a division of the site into RMXP and RMVX, so two different groups of members will be looking at different parts of the site. My idea is to have a completely forum-orientated homepage, with separate RPG Maker XP and RPG Maker VX homepages(which you can see by clicking RMXP or RMVX in the mainmenu of the site), and this is where all the featured projects, latest scripts, etc. will be displayed. This way those target groups are only, mainly, exposed to the content that is relative to them. The only problem is getting them to the respective homepage, but enormous shiny graphics should take care of that....

Do you understand that? I would draw you a diagram which could explain it in a second, but it would take my old computer at least 5 minutes just to open photoshop...

Yeah, that would be nice, but the archive thing is pretty smexy! :)

Maybe have a layout where the bars at the top go down in a column instead of in a row.
Thanks, I designed the archive myself :) excluding the typography. That 'bar' is called the Main Menu, and I like it at the top.... there is no way my awesome menus would work if the menu was vertical. Would be better if javascript was working :P

Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh. What if we had an "Enter RMXPU" to a page, where, like you mentioned, you could click on of three buttons. One leads to the forums, one to RMXPU Homepage, and the last to RMVXU homepage. It would be black, and the buttons would be blue... That would be awesome. And give members the ability to submit resources for every category in both sections.

Emmy, Marked posted a bundle of RGSS tutorials in the RGSS forums. Let me see if I can find it...

I like that idea kiriashi. Im pretty sure i know how to do it too. If I create an index.html page, then that will displayed at www.rmxpunlimited.net/, and the website will only be viewed at www.rmxpunlimited.net/index.php. The extra index.php is not an issue as we will change all the links to the homepage to include it. I actually really like that idea..

And of course members will be able to submit into every section. However, first I must work on integrating softwares and then I must create the components which allow members to submit content into our CCK which i will use to design our RM sections. Unfortunately, this is months of work. It is just me, and I'm not exactly your average php expert. Though this doesn't stop me, at least not yet.

Actually a lot of people still uses 2k and 2k3. You will find plenty of new videos of games made by both programs on Youtube.

That's not the point. Anyone that still uses an older program probably doesn't need a community to help with it.
