Hey everyone,

Welcome to the new RMXP Unlimited.

The forum has been upgraded and been reskinned, something that has not happened in about a year and a half.

This upgrade has been some time in the making, and rather tricky to achieve with our more-than-faulty database. However things went fine, thankfully, because I did not have backup plan if it didn't work. With this upgrade I am hopeful that our database is back up to standard, meaning no more lag.

I hope everyone likes the new features, there's a ton. But I have a large feeling that errors and bugs will outweigh new features, until I get to them at least. I would like everyone to report any errors/bugs/anything out the ordinary either in this topic or in a PM to me.

The skin is a temporary one. However, would you guys like it permanently? Also the bridge between website and forum has been broken. I will attempt a re-bridge once we need it. At the moment there is no account-orientated features of the website.

Feel free to bombard this topic with errors, lets get this upgrade completed.

Looks good, I kind of liked the old skin for the forum, but let's wait for that. No errors to report right now, everything seems ok.

Hey guys, how's it go-what the heck happened?! XD
(my actual thoughts, lol)

I dunno what to say, I guess I'm gonna have to agree with Nisage, I'm used to the older one, but whatever. :P

OH MY GOD!
I love it! Its so awesome!

:)
I clicked my link to my profile and saw the new design and thought I went someplace else, but I didn't. Soooo cool!

EDIT:
I have one slight problem on my profile. Where the RPG level is, its kinda going out of box...just a bit though.

So you have to re-make the spoilers? That'll be a pain to do. Also, there is something missing. Can't see who's birthday it is, if it is anyone's birthday that is.

The forums as still great, which ever version he used.

Does IBP cost money to have? Or at least the version this forum is using?

The new kin is awesome. And I'm loving no lag. :P I thought I was the only one lagging because when I used Firefox, it didn't lag.

I had lag before also. I'm still using Firefox and it seems to be working greatly now! :)

I love the new skin. I really don't see to many problems with it yet.

On the profile as Crimson said, The Previous fields box is extending outside of its box.

The Spoilers need to be re-done, no big issue. Actually I just noticed I have to re-do the images in my sig. But still no big deal.

And Crimson, yes IPB cost money. I used to run one, then I switched over to vB. But either way they both cost money.

That's the only problem I noticed; the profile. But that doesn't really matter.
(Yes, I'm desperate to keep the new look ^^)

Whaa? I really wanted to start a forum using IPB....I remember seeing it for free before *sigh*

I guess I should just use this site...

Maybe for the first few days it's free. But anyway, I haven't seen any errors, I like how when I went to edit a post, it scrolled up and opened the Editor thing. Nice :)

IPB is not free under no circumstances, UNLESS, you can find a site where they have servers set up with IPB, where as that site has bought a server license from IPB. But from past experince, those suck. You don't have as much control over them.

As far as the MyBB, that I have never used but I can't imagine it being hard at all.

@Niage:
I like the editor as well! So usefull! I like this kind of forum better than vB...for some strange reason lol

I get a trial, that's all >.<

@Wyrzd:
MyBB is basically like Zetaboards or Invisionfree, if you've ever used that. But they come very, very close to vB and this for free :)

@Marked:
We won't be switching back....will we?

Yea I know what Mybb is, I just never used it. I have used Zeta and IF too in the past.

IPB is good for professional sites like this one. vB is a little more open in my opinion, you can do more with it.

As far as the editor thing. It's always opened like that. o_O that's nothing new.

@Marked, I like how this new look has the Mod tools at the top of the skin.

I must admit I didn't see this coming, but I like the new change. It looks more organized and styled. The old one was rather classic and boring. It'll take me some time to get used to things since I am used to the old one but I'll get it nevertheless. ^^

Also the best thing about this is that now I can scroll side-ways. It was irritating me at first that I couldn't. D:

Question, how do we find out who posted what in where? There was a button that said "View New Posts" before the upgrade.
