In previous topics, i have made rude and unthought of comments about the behaviour of Marked. So what i am trying to say is: I'm sorry to everyone whi i have unfortunatley offended and especially Marked. Some people may agree with what i said which was my opinion, and some people disagreed. So, again, sorry. :D

Two of the hardest words to say in the English language: I'm sorry.

Nice to see you are a big man.

-claps- they are very hard to say...a friend of mine once said "The hardest thing in life, is for a man to admit they are wrong" -nods- it's true, that's for sure. Either way, it's ok, Ryan. I think we all understood where you were coming from, even if it wasn't the nicest way of saying it.

Quote

I'm sorry

And yet some of the most meaningless. (Does not apply in this case, of course.) Just from past experiences I make such a remark.

"Apologizing is nothing more than showing remorse or regret for an action you have made.
If you knew you were going to feel that way, then do not bother proceeding with action itself."

Guess Grandor is referring to something around this quote? Well, I already know what this it's about.
Empathy helps understand your position Ryan, that it does.

erm...I'm not really sure what that means, Arkbennett...I mean...if you are saying it is pointless to apologize, then you're wrong...it is important to apologize...but with apologizing, you must also forgive...be it yourself for the action, another for the action they did, or both. Either way, apologizing is good, but, to a point, is meaningless unless you also forgive yourself for whatever...I doubt I made that clear in any way...I got it from a teaching book..."Sins of others are retained, but if you forgive the sins of others, they are released" Meaning you can apologize for the way you acted, but you still must forgive Marked for his actions...I did right away...well...sort of...I forgave him, though, so I don't hold it against him anymore...

No it means to aplogize when you've done wrong, and not to do wrong on purpose while knowing you'd give an hollow apology ahead of time. All it's all about interpretation.

he may not have known he'd apologize...When I need I have to apologize for an action, instead of doing it then apologizing, I just say "sorry about this in advance but..." then say what I need. If I don't...most people get all pissed off at 90% of what I say...

Yeah, I know. I was just referring to Grandors comments, about apologies being meaningless.

I don't usually apologize. The way I look at it, I mean everything I say. Always.

But then, I'm an rear. (Can I say that?) Saying sorry is very important.

I'll just shut up.

I think the irony dictionary answers your questions:

Quote

Apologize- To lay the foundation for future offense.

And Demondaze, from the way you've been acting, you're far from an rear. At least, I would like to think so.

ha, yeah...sadly, it seems we apologize a lot, only to later on offend them in another way...which is why even though we apologize/forgive, that doesn't mean we still can trust people...
